Take a screenshot on your Mac and get a shareable link in your clipboard before the image even finishes uploading. Just paste.

Built by product designers with 10+ years in screenshot workflows.
How it works
Press ⌘ Shift 3 — the same shortcut you already use. Paste Shot takes it from there.
Instantly. Before the image even uploads. The link is generated the moment you take the shot.
Slack, Discord, email, Claude, ChatGPT, docs. The URL works everywhere, with rich previews.
Why this matters
As a product designer, I’ve relied on screenshot sharing as part of my daily workflow for over a decade. If you spend your day working on a computer and often need to capture visual information, a screenshot tool might be one of the biggest wins for retaining and sharing what you know.
Try describing a design change with words alone — referencing a component with two modules inside of it in version three of a Figma file, deep down in page two. Words aren’t enough to convey that chaos.
With a screenshot URL, I paste a link into my notes and keep typing. The process takes two seconds. I drop visuals inline with the words I’m sharing. It’s the perfect blend of words and images.
If I write “move the button in option A beside the list in option B” on a Friday, by Monday I’ll have zero clue what that means. But if I include a screenshot link, I suddenly have all the context of what I was thinking in that moment.
Every tool we tried was slow, bloated, and full of features we never asked for. So we built Paste Shot — one of the most minimal screenshot apps on the market. It does one thing and it does it well. No annotation tools, no video recording, no cloud dashboards. Just speed. The URL is in your clipboard before the image even finishes uploading. That speed is everything — it keeps you in flow, in thought, in momentum. One shortcut, one paste. That’s it.
How we compare
Details
Links unfurl in Slack, Discord, and Twitter with full image previews. No extra clicks for the viewer.
Every screenshot has a raw image URL that Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI tools can read directly.
The URL is in your clipboard within milliseconds. The upload happens in the background. If someone opens the link early, they see a loading state that auto-refreshes.
Your screenshots are stored on Cloudflare’s global network. No tracking, no analytics, no third-party access. Unguessable URLs.
FAQ
Privacy
Your email address (for your account) and the screenshots you upload. That’s it. We don’t collect device fingerprints, IP logs, or usage analytics.
Screenshots are stored on Cloudflare R2 (object storage). Account data is stored on Cloudflare Workers KV. All data stays within Cloudflare’s infrastructure — we don’t use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising networks.
Paste Shot has no analytics scripts, no cookies, and no view counters. We don’t know when or how often someone views your screenshot.
Every screenshot URL contains a cryptographically random identifier. There is no public gallery, no search index, and no way to enumerate uploaded images. Knowing the URL is the only way to access an image.
Your screenshots remain available as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated images are permanently removed within 30 days.
